1.  Do you like cross country? Why / why not?

   No, because it is tiring, hard and my face gets all red and hot until I stop.

2. What did you dislike about cross country? Why don’t you like that bit?

  The hills, because I used most of my energy and the hills were really steep, my legs felt like they weren't there.

3. Were you proud of yourself when you finished the cross country?

   Yes, because I achieved my highest placing in 4 years of running,  which was 9th.

4. What was your goal in cross country?

 To get a place and run the whole race without stopping, it was hard but I was proud at the end.

5. How muddy did you get?

I did not get that muddy, the mud only got up to my ankles.

W.A.L.T write a movie review

This is a short animated film of a movie, it is called Pigeon Impossible. This movie is presented by Martell Animations. This is a spy movie, the movie is like Mission Impossible and James Bond. The scene starts in Washington D.C, then two spies meet one of them has a briefcase and does a secret handover to the other. The spy with the briefcase sits on a bench while eating a bagel, after a few minutes a pigeon comes along and wants to eat the bagel. Then the pigeon falls into the briefcase and then all sorts of crazy things start to happen.

In this film I liked it when the pigeon was pressing buttons and everything went crazy. It wasn’t acting like a normal pigeon acts and that was funny.

But I didn’t like it when the lady was running away from the briefcase she screamed so loud that my ears nearly fell off my head.

There was also one bit that really I didn’t like and it was … when part of  the rocket fell on the pigeon and the pigeon died, it was sad but it was only a cartoon which is always made up.

Overall I didn’t like this movie film and I recommend that you don’t waste time watching it. I rate this movie 1 and a half stars out of 5 because the characters looked weird and especially the man / spy looked strange.

Log cabin I walked through the forest W.A.L.T describe It was a lovely sunny Autumn day. My friend and I were talking loudly while we walked on the muddy path through the colorful forest. While we were walking we noticed lots of animals, there were singing birds, brown bears, white rabbits, spiky hedgehogs and spotted dears. We stopped at a fallen tree by a dirty lake to rest and eat our lunch. We packed 1 litre of juice, 2 bottles of water, four jam sandwiches and two round doughnuts. After our lunch we kept on walking through the forest, we could see big Kauri trees and small spiky trees, with red leaves. It was dark when we got to an empty spot all that was there was a old family log cabin with mini Christmas trees around the area, a brick chimney, a stone fence and a duck pond on the side. I strolled over to the door...

It was an exciting day because today was Wednesday 16 March our class room 9 and room 7 were going to Castor Bay We went there because we could learn and explore about nature. When we got off the bus we raced towards the sandy beach like a bunch of bees looking for some flowers. My group was Rangitoto and after lunch we did beach games.

We started to do some beach games there were three games,the first game was dead ants. We played the game on the grass.The house leaders told us what to do. There were some numbers written on bits of carpet in the middle and ropes around the outside and we had to get into two even groups of boys and girls.We needed to number ourselves.The numbers went from number 1 to number 24.My team didn’t win for both of the races.For the last round we had a game of boys against girls I hope the the girls win. "Yay" the girls won! The girls shouted. The taste of excitement was coming from here. We also did some games down on the beach. We could smell the sea l we were walking towards.The games on the beach were a batten and a sand sculpture game.For the baton game we had to take a baton each. The adults had to take two battens away otherwise the game won’t work.After that we had to stab the battens into the sand.Then we had to get away from the batten and lye down on the sand, when the teacher shouted” go” we had to run and get a batten.If you didn’t get a batten you had to go and sit to the side,the teachers kept taking two battens away at a time.Then we started making our sand sculptures some people were excited like me.We had to get into groups of two.When we partnered up with someone the teachers gave each group one sheet of green paper each,on that piece of paper it had some words on it.For example rough we had to find something rough,we had to use these things to put on your sand sculpture.Me and my partner made a castle.The teachers had to take a photo of the sand sculptures.Today was one of my favorite days!
